Haven't you ever noticed that in movies they never show what happens afterwards?
Haven't you ever noticed that in movies they never show what happens afterwards? You know, when the boy and the girl finally venture off to LA LA Land. It's because fairy tales don't exist, kid. No matter how interminable something feels, two people that were once close can become strangers in the blink of an eye.
You see, some people are more like stories – as opposed to whole books. In a story you will find paragraphs and paragraphs of beautiful sentences and words only you can understand, but you will never know how it really ends. And you will have questions. And you won't always get the answers you want; the closure you need. And you will cry and beg and eventually be replaced.
And people will try to be there for you but you deserve better isn't what you will want to hear in that precise moment.
Yes, stories... It's awful telling it like this, isn't it?
But at the end of the day, it is not the outcome that matters. It is the ride; the experience, the learning curve. And as for this void, this blanc page, or this vast expanse of emptiness that will appear in the aftermath...well, someone will fill it, colour it with the most exuberant hues.
And it's going to be more beautiful than ever, kid. █
